How our Auction works

Bloodstockauction.com operates similar to 'traditional' auction, by advertising set sale dates, taking listings, and generating an auction catalogue upon which registered buyers may bid. The only difference is that our auctions take place online using a ‘Virtual Sales Ring’.

During the auction ‘Final Countdown’ stage, each horse enters the ‘Virtual Sales Ring’ in numerical Lot order, at 30 seconds intervals. If a Lot attracts a bid in the final 20 seconds, an additional 20 seconds is then added, and this continues until there are no further bids received and the Lot is sold.

Auctions are held weekly, with auction catalogues released and open for bidding each Friday.
